Description
The Gold Severum is a species that is exclusively recognized in the Amazon basin in the vicinity of Iquitos, in northern Peru. It is found in the slow-moving regions of rivers that are densely covered in submerged tree roots and marginal vegetation. They have an iridescent sheen to their scales and off-white to gold background colour.

Males usually have longer and pointed dorsal and anal fins. They usually grow faster and larger than females, who also are paler in colour in comparison to males
Temperament and Compatible Tank Companions
Gold Severums are peaceful cichlids that can coexist with other non-aggressive, similarly-sized fish. Avoid keeping them with aggressive or territorial species
